Ngugi Wa Thiong’o – Africa’s Finest


Author of Weep Not, Child, Ngugi Wa Thiong’o, was recently honored at the 2012 Sunday Times Literary Awards. His address at the event, “Speaking my language” covered many facets of his writing career and the African continent. The prolific writer is currently a Distunguished professor of English and Comparative literature in the University of California, Irvine. His latest works are Wizard of the Crow and a memoir, Dreams in a Time of War.

It’s Donjazzy Again-Mavin Records


Donjazzy has definitely moved on. His new record company, Mavin records has released its first album titled “Solar Plexus”. The album contains brand new sides to its artists- D’Prince, Dr Sid, Wande coal and Tiwa savage. The record label is currently enjoying publicity on twitter and the web. Nice one Don jazzy, you pass them!

Ghana Fashion And Design Week

The first ever Ghana fashion week is scheduled to hold in October 2012! The venue is Accra, Ghana and the theme for the shoe is “ETHIKHA”. I’m so looking forward to this show. Lets see how well Ghana will hold their own in the rising African fashion industry. Akwabaa 🙂
